Jaipur Jhumkas, 925 silver earrings with polki, green onyx and zircon

A jhumka is the bell-shaped drop earring every Pakistani wardrobe has room for. The design you choose depends on the event, your outfit and how long you will wear it.

Small jhumkas and balis for every day

A small jhumka hanging from a bali is light enough for a full day, and a plain bali is lighter still. It goes with a kurta for work, a family lunch or Eid morning.

Polki jhumkas for weddings

Polki is a flat, uncut-look stone set in gold-plated silver. Polki jhumkas have that classic bridal look and are made for the barat and big family events.

Pearl drops

A row of small pearls under the bell softens the look and moves when you move. Pearl jhumkas suit walima and nikkah outfits in pastel and ivory.

Gold look or silver look

All our jhumkas are 925 silver. Gold plated pairs go with red, maroon and gold outfits. Rose gold suits pink and peach. A silver look (rhodium plated or two tone) is lovely with white, grey and pastel colours.

Which jhumka for which event

  • Mehndi: colour, such as green onyx or ruby with polki.
  • Barat: the biggest polki pair you are comfortable in.
  • Walima: pearl drops or a silver-look pair.
  • Eid and dinners: a medium or small jhumka.

Weight and comfort

Big bridal jhumkas are heavier, so they are best for a few hours. If you will wear them all day, choose a smaller pair, or keep a light pair in your bag to change into later.
